1. Are hot lunches provided for the students?
Yes, hot lunches may be purchased from the school. The cost is $40.00 per month and families must pay for the entire month's lunches. This will be billed with your tuition account. You will not be able to “order” lunches just for certain days of the week. One week’s notice must be given to the office both to begin and cancel purchasing of hot lunches. Students may bring their own lunch to school. No child will be permitted to leave campus for lunch.
2.What are your school hours?
School begins at 8:15am and ends at 3:15pm. Beginning the second week of school, students will be dismissed early every Monday at 2:15pm to provide time for teacher professional development.
3. How many grade levels do you have?
For the 2013-2014 school year our school has Kindergarten through 6th grade. Fifth/Sixth grades are a combined class.
4. Are the students required to wear uniforms?
Yes. This is our uniform policy as stated in the PCS handbook:
Boys:
Pants/shorts: Khaki (tan) or Navy – no denim or knit fabric, Dockers style only. Cargo pants are acceptable.
Shirt: long or short sleeve, polo style –(any solid color) no logos, no stripes
Shoes: athletic shoes – tied or Velcro closure. Velcro closed shoes must be worn if your child cannot tie his/her shoes or has a problem keeping them tied. Slip on shoes, knee high shoes and boots are not allowed.
Socks: White, Navy, Black or Tan only.
Girls:
Pants/shorts, skorts, or capris: Khaki (tan) or Navy – no denim or knit fabric, Dockers style only. Cargo pants are acceptable.
Leggings: Khaki (tan), Navy or White only – knit cotton fabric only to be worn under skirts or jumpers.
Uniform jumper type dresses: Navy or Khaki (tan)
Shirts/blouses: white collared button-up blouses, or long or short sleeve polo type tops- (any solid color) no logos, no stripes
Shoes: athletic shoes – tied or Velcro closure. Velcro closed shoes must be worn if your child cannot tie his/her shoes or has a problem keeping them tied. Slip on shoes, knee high shoes and boots are not allowed.
Socks: White, Navy, Black or Tan only.
5. Do you have before school and after school childcare?
Yes. If your schedule requires earlier or later childcare, you may register your child in our "Den Club". The Den Club operation hours are:
Before care: 6:00am-8:15am
(Includes breakfast)
After care: End of school- 6pm
(Includes snack)
Cost: Before AND After Care $40 per week
Before OR After Care $30 per week
PCS "Den Club" is open for school days only and space is limited. Payments will be charged separately for any time spent in the Before and/or After Care.
